Ladybirds. (bishy barnabees, ladybug)
For me the ladybird is definitely one of the sweetest little insects to land on you, although when there is a whole bunch it does get kinda creepy. However, their loveliness has made them symbols of good luck in many cultures. The Turkish name for the ladybird is Uğur Böceği, literally meaning good luck bug.
I have made this ring from a pair of lovely sterling silver pre 1920 threepence coins and a silver fork tine / prong! Its feels lovely and looks very nice worn!
